How to pick the best seats in a theater @hallease

The most common question I get when people tell me they want to see a Broadway show is "where should I sit?" Truthfully, where you sit is up to personal preference. Some people prefer aisle seats, while others like sitting in the mezzanine. I don't really care as long as I'm not sitting in a box seat or in a partial-view seat. Here's a guide on how to avoid doing that and make picking your seat a little bit easier!

"Partial view" is not that bad, 9/10 you're not missing anything, and good directors block their shows for "partial view" seats. Theatre is supposed to be a communal experience, not one where only people in premium seats can experience.

also: do not pick front rows on balconys/mezzanines! those may also be partial or obstructed view due to safety bars

It's annoying because when I was watching life of pie in the second row a rlly tall guy booked his seat right Infront of me so I had to awkwardly contort my neck to see, I would recommend third row and back

The best best seats are 7/8 row middle because that’s where the director sits to make sure it looks good
