Katie Thurston is calling people out over criticizing madison prewitt’s engagement

Madison prewitt got engaged to her now fiance grant troutt earlier this week

The two met late last year in 2021
And fans were quick to criticize her for getting engaged too quickly after just 9 months of dating grant

One bachelor fan account tweeted the pictures from the engagement and wrote “Interrupting your evening…Madi Prewett engaged after 9 months” with a woozy face emoji

They also replied to another tweet saying 9 months isnt long enough to know someone

Another fan said “Worth the wait??? Your like 23? 25? Lol and dated this guy for how long? Religious ppl are so weird.”

Katie actually ended up quote tweeting the tweet from the bachelor fan account and wrote back saying “Contestants get engaged after 6-8 weeks which really translates to even less time when you consider the actual time spent together. You don’t get to cheer on leads but shit on Madi. Happy for her! Congratulations to finding love your own way!”
And many fans applauded katie for her response

Some even tweeted sharing their stories about getting engaged within less than a year and still going strong

While some fans are criticizing the duration of their relationship, others are criticizing the proposal itself

One person wrote saying “There is no way she dressed like this normally and didn't notice the heart of candles on the beach lol”
And others echoed this thought by saying that it couldn’t have been a surprise because she knew it was happening and it was too planned

I think everyone needs to mind their own business and stop criticizing others. Half the people saying these things are probably just single and sad. Just let them live

I agree with Katie, getting engaged for 9 months dating is long enough then being a lead in a bachelorette/ bachelor season infront of cameras, .With Madis situation it’s private nd in her own way. It does make sense

I disagree with Katie and I think I’m in the unpopular opinion. Less than a year of dating someone is not long enough to know them deeply enough for marriage, in my opinion.

I hope it works out for their sake, but I don’t believe it will.
