Thank you for this. At around 11:35 you mentioned that the class you created will automatically appear in your org. I don't know if there has been an update to VS Code or the Salesforce platform, since this video, but mine did not automatically appear. After much strife, I found that you have to right-click on the package.xml file and "Deploy Source to Org". I hope this saves someone else the struggle I just had.
