This is my look at the unique Dennis Had 300B-v Amplifier. This is an all tube design using the 300B tube. Hand made by the man who started and ran Cary Audio. This amp puts out just 6-8 WPC yet it is some of the sweetest tube sound I have heard from any amp. A work of art that is unique, beautiful and with the right speakers sounds fantastic.

The 300B tube excels with vocals and this amp is the definition of the 300B sound. I hope you enjoy this one!

From the moment you gave a sneak peek of this amp, I knew it was a keeper. Although I don’t own a 300B tube amp, from everyone who has reviewed or owned one, always speak of this magical sound the 300B’s produce.

I was just mildly watching until I saw that price. WOW! I will be keeping my eye out for one to use with my LaScalas

Great review, I am a big fan of Dennis. I currently use his SET45 amp and LP-27a preamp. This combo has proved to be quite the perfect match with my higher efficiency drivers. My Klipsch Chorus II’s are awesome with them.

Tekton has a particular speaker design that is for tiny wattage tube amps and those speakers have dual 15" bass drivers I believe and Jeff's mid and treble custom array with those little tweeters. Its worth a look for the reviews of those very special speakers from Tekton. I will be purchasing Jeff's Troubadour's for my next set if speakers and would highly recommend you review the Troubadour with your excellent review style....

If I listen to my 300B amp 2 or 3 times a day for 45 minutes each time, do you suggest that I leave the amp on during the day or turn it on on and off as needed?

very cool there are "artisan" electronics made here in the USA.Much like the pioneer hi fi days of the early 1950s. EG Williamson et al.

It seems Dennis has one of these on Ebay now, though looks as if it ships 1st week of December.

You forgot the 300b monoblocks with the 8inch tall Kron tubes!

I thought the Western Electric guys use the same old tooling to make these tubes. Shouldn’t they be built exactly as they did back in the day?

Poor Dennis Had, 8, 826 viewers trying to get an amp from one retired man!
Well not all will want one, but given the way this vid was put together, many will...

Lots of 300B amps in this space this looks like a special option. Not sure I get a lifetime amp vs. the other options in this space (Cayin, Manley, modwright, feliks, ultrasonic, moth, elekit, glenn, ampsandsound, eddie current) all have solid options.

Do you think this would work well with KLH 5? It is at 90 db.

I truly admire Maestro Dennis Had. In fact not many of such wonderful engineers are left. This beautiful amplifier has only one input and I think it’ll be more interesting to have more. I’m an integrated amplifier admirer and my goal is to own 12 of my favorites vintage and current models from the prominent brands I adore and listen to each of them for each month of the year. How’s that sound? Oh ; and this one is the number 13😂
