Yo that's me with the birds. G3 negating City seems cool with the knowledge of the draw for turn, but in my position I don't know Lili yet. My reasoning is that if they go for Chuche, I can simply bounce it with DDL. If they go for Quinlong they have no real play with Laolao and the only targetable dude on the board is DDL so I figured I can allow it. Hindsight is always 20/20 but possible topdeck of Gamma on their side (which I saw they run) seemed pretty rough at the time. Thanks for the commentary, cool video!

that G3 was so rough for both players, oof
didn't realize that VW had basically no outs to simorgh without the battle phase, if he had played fortune tune that could have been a realistic shot at winning since you guarantee zeus hits the field, but it leaves you open to a bunch of topdecks and you have to read that your opponent is heads-up enough to use their negated DDL to send ensemblue in other scenarios where you don't make an xyz in mp1

i think lyrilusc allowing the kauwloon in G3 was fine since the last card being desires is potentially punishing, though I think after he learned the last card was lili he should have considered using apex to negate laolao. i think it ends up eventually becoming a similar scenario where the VW player ends up unable to out simorgh in MP2, anyway

Yeah Negating City g3 was 100% correct with perfect knowledge from tactics. Ensemble Robin plays really weird with V.W. but Simorgh makes that Match up way more favorable for Bird up lol.
