USA.
You can own a gun or show violence of almost any kind on tv, but they are freaking out for that little word.
What would be "The big Lebowski" without it ?
That is a messed up level of priority and hypocrisy.

They didn't mention Charlie Rocket when he dropped the F bomb during a Dallas sketch on SNL.
He was immediately fired from the show.

What I don't understand is: why is the word "bitch" allowed to be said but the "f" word (can it even be written out in forums?) cannot be uttered? I'm old enough to remember when even the word "damn" wasn't spoken on tv. I think they first said it out loud sometime in the '80s. I was over 30 by then!
I keep waiting for the word "s***" to be spoken and not bleeped. It's not even really a "bad word, " but it's bleeped regularly. When you live long enough, you gain perspective on things like this. We have a lopsided way of deciding what's culturally ok and what isn't. This is turning into the fall of Rome, culturally speaking.

There is no way his career will recover if he can't get back on SNL. I have a feeling that these days they would eat their own ass to get him on. I literally never hear anyone talking about current SNL anymore.

Samuel Jackson is known for taking things too far and being a man who takes himself just a bit too seriously, also method acting is complete Bull and was created by an actor who actually was not a renowned actor who created "the method" to make himself seem more legitimate. Thompson on the other hand is a very polite and funny guy who really doesn't seem to take life too seriously, honestly I think it's just a clash of generations and styles and maybe people who aren't comedians shouldn't be hosting SNL. Some people can't transition from what they do over to comedy pretty easily, Samuel L Jackson is more known for being so outrageous that you find it funny.
