Stockfish is undisputed champion since 2020 and it's completely free and you can see the source code as well. It can't be any better than that!

I wonder if the folks at TCEC will send an invitation to Torch to participate in their next season. I would ask them but I'm still sour about the TCEC admins banning my Twitch account a few days after I created it for violating rules that they never specified I broke.

No, Torch is close to Lc0. Lc0 dit 42% against Stockfish in CCC and Torch went 40% against Stockfish. Way too soon to say Torch is number 2 !
