Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

I'm excited for Civil War. But, bar Spidey and Panther, we've seen it before. People have wanted Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Batman and Superman all on the big screen for nearly a century. IT'S HUGE. And fresh. And it looks amazing and is written by an incredible writer, so I'm just dying of anticipation for BVS.

Man I really did enjoy this video. It was a very well thought out and discussed conversation. Not two guys just yelling over each other but letting the other speak and elaborate on their points. Wish there was more out there like this. And to his last point he's right the fans win. We just had deadpool, are about to get BvS, Civil War, X Men, SS, and Doc Strange, as a fanboy I'm just happy to see it actually happen.

They are both gonna be fantastic, probably some of the best comic book movies to ever come out. Put I'm gonna have to quote Henry Cavill on this one. "They are separate entities, you can't compare the two." Which I totally agree. The characters and worlds are just so different, if you understand the characters, you'll get it. It's doing these movies a disservice to compare the two together.

Oooh. I bet this discussion is haunting you now. Now that both films are out and Civil War is kicking Batman and Superman's ass.

I may be a fanboy, but I have no idea how the hell Civil War could make more than a movie titled BATMAN VS SUPERMAN.

Let's not compare both. They'll both be awesome!

Here's the thing Caboose. People make fun of "Tell me, do you bleed? You will" where as no makes fun "I can do this all day", hell I shed a tear from that line as well as "I'm sorry Tony, but he's my friend" "So was I."

Do you know what you've just done Caboose?!

Let's just end the flame war now. We ALL have to agree that BOTH of these movies will be FUCKING AMAZING! Even SPECTACULAR!

People may be more excited for BvS but as far as which one will handle the issue of superhero accountability better, all signs are pointed at Civil war, mostly because the aim of BvS is to form the Justice League, while Civil War deals with the main issue of who is at fault for collateral damage.

(Spoiler Free Comparison) Civil War, without a doubt, is the superior film. I never questioned why they were fighting, the plot made complete sense, the pacing was perfect, and it didn't feel like they were cramming shit in just to get it rushed out the door. While still maintaining a serious tone, there was many lighthearted and genuinely funny moments that gave the film color and life. Dawn of Justice? The motivations for the fights made no sense at all, the plot was all over the place, the pacing was horrendous, they crammed a shit load of plot points from other comics in, and it was clearly rushed out of the door to beat Marvel to the punch. The tone was SO unbelievably serious, to the point of it being no fun at all. The color is basically varied shades of depressing blues and dark greys, and it doesn't seem like any love was put into the film whatsoever. DC needs to take notes from Marvel, because Zack Snyder clearly has no clue what he's doing.
