THANK YOU! That's all I needed to know. New to r/c 2 strokes, don't know crap about glow plugs.... I was baffled on "how the fudge does one's engine continue to run without ignition? The chemical reaction explanation instantly cleared it up 😮

Bug I’ve looked everywhere on the internet to see what plug I should have in my 3.3 Traxxas and you are the best. I looked at a chart and kinda went nuts for the last few days. Guy at the hobby shop told me run a os#8 it’ll be perfect. And I’m having to leave my igniter on to run my tmaxx. So I am going tomorrow to buy an lc3 like you said in your video. Thank you so much

Very good explaining of glow plugs. Depending of some brands, hot and cold plug numbers could also be opposite. Like you said, use glow plugs that manufacturers are recommending. Hope you get well soon.

Finally someone else who actually knows his sh*t and i love it!
i showed this vid to a buddy of mine who raced both nitro and gasoline cars in the older days like.. 10-15 years ago.. but he kept saying that i need to change my glow plug depending on the temp outside and retune the engine.. yes retune the carb due to the air density difference between winter and summer seasons but otherwise i never heard of changing the plug every temp/season change..

Very cool, I didn't know about the chemical reaction. I thought they were high compression engines "like a diesel"

How does the engine perform or sound like when detenation is happening? That great tip when you remove the igniter, the engine dies.I always thought the idle screw backed out! Lol. Great info. Thanks!

Great video thank you. Do you know if these glow plugs share the same thread? IE they are interchangeable at least in the sense that they can be screwed into the same hole/

I have to agree. Just because glow plug lit red doesn't mean its good that's if its bright red though. That is the first thing I do I check glow plug. It makes it little easier to pin point other problems. Good job explaining it.
