Yo! I'm doing more demon voices.

Clarity of what is being said is something that is always a tight wire act but practice makes perfect. Make things too saucy with the effects chain and you lose track of what is being said, don't do enough interesting touch ups and it sounds like everything doesn't fit or that you've just done an unintentional job.

That being the case one thing I learned is that adding reperformed voice lines is adding a lot to the performance. I got the music production idea of doubling vocals double vocals. You basically want to have a good take, and then add a redone take (mixed behind the original) to emphasize certain words or give the overall performance a bit of ethereal otherworldly magic and presence.
