The fact that Luther so rarely used his physical strength size and physically intimidating presence during the whole run was one of the really unique things about him. It was always 95% brain, manipulation, talking, smoke and mirrors, battle of wits kinda dynamics with how he dominated over everyone around him, often the way people are when they know they're not extremely physically capable. It added so much to his character.

I love that the villain giggles about it. Poor Paul Rhys, his pretty face is ALWAYS getting bloodied up! In fact, I read that he broke his nose in fight scene once...I wonder if this was the one? That punch looked pretty real!

Out of all the totally vile villains that Luther faced, this is the character that most deserved a full on punch in the face like this the most, that character was a abhorrent mix of perverted vileness, totally fake charm, repugnant arrogance (to the point where he thought the Police couldn’t touch him), and total creepiness…I almost clapped with joy when I first saw this scene…
The actor who played this villain played the character superbly, as he was truly unsettling…

I felt they could have use John and Ian's friendship a lot more before turning Reed into a villain. Only 4 real episodes of backing each other in little scenes like this before everything turns to shit between them.

How get a DNA sample v1.2
1. Disguise yourself wear a hat, sunglasses and rubber gloves
2. Find the suspect
3. Punch the suspect in the face make sure he/she is knocked out
4. Grab his/her DNA sample
5. Once you have the DNA sample on your glove make the glove go inside out so you get the DNA sample is securely safe
