It's amazing how developing countries are using such revolutionary technologies as 3D printers and a wealth of alternative energies, almost to the extent of exceeding a particular few industrialized countries. I hope for their sake, they can use this to their advantage and create a self-sufficient and self-sustaining society in regards to energy/food/technologies, etc. and I hope the whole world makes a drastic shift into such

Nice to hear, especially since Canada, France and the US ousted the landslide election winner, Jean Bertrand Aristide, in 1990, hence Haiti's plantation economy. Aristide had the know how and the support to turn that around, which is why we stepped in.

Well umbilical chord clamps are not complicated pieces of equipment, I'm a mechanical engineer and I assure you that there's 1001 ways do devise an all plastic clamp, and simply upload it to the Internet for everybody to use. Of course the problem could be if it is certified for use, but I'll let Haiti worry about their own regulations.

I have a makerbot dual (like the one in the video).. totally excellent if you have a use for it.. kids love watching them work too.

copyleft designs exist all around the web.. ie, thingiverse.
Find things you need there, or just design it yourself and upload so others can share/use it too.

copyright should be for 10 years max (was supposed to stimulate innovation, not extort people).. or banned IMO.

My 2D Printer can print any kind of Picture...even those, which I don`t hold the copyrights.
