This reminds me of the late 70s early 80s of street fighting and how punks wore spiked collars and wrist bands to prevent getting choked or arm barred until guns became prevalent and that’s when punk died out. Those were the good ol days where people fought like true gladiators. The bright spiked hair and mowhawks was for intimidation. Went from punks to thugs.

It slows them down and makes them too heavy (the ONLY advantage a small dog has it to be difficult to flip over… which is how coyotes kill your dog.)

It will keep the crows off their dead bodies tho.

You need to take care of those coyotes, and find out which neighbor is feeding them.

There’s a point where you cannot relocate the coyote as they’ll starve and there a point where you cannot instill fear in them. You’re past the point of instilling fear.

It’s better to put in 10’ fences with a 3’ plate into the ground, but even then NEVER leave them outside alone.

Maybe borrow some pit bulls and let them out there.

Better yet, don’t make your small dogs coyote bait.

Get them a metal spike neck protector. There’s a reason Great Dane/Great Pyrenees cattle/sheep protection dogs wear them and not some stupid plastic thing around there waist. It will go for the neck. Honestly I would try to trap it and have it relocated. Or get a crossbow. It’s either your dogs life or a wild coyote that could get rabies and give you or your dogs rabies.

Love coyotes and I think all creatures are beautiful, but I’m not taking a chance with my dog getting mauled/killed. If that means i gotta shoot a coyote, then I’m shooting a coyote. The way I feel is if I let you sleep in the bed with me, then I will kill for you. And you know my dog ain’t sleeping on the floor.
