I’m happy that, despite dying alone, he wasn’t sent off alone and had people around him.

R.I.P to this man ❤️

A lot of loner guys like him tend to die without anyone ever really noticing. Instantly forgotten or never even remembered. It's nice to see one finally given some respect when they pass on.

That’s so wonderful they did that for him. He looked like a child in his uniform when he went into the service.

Selflessness begets selflessness, in tears over the kindness of the soldier’s community getting him a proper military funeral. His service was respected.

This bought tears to my eyes...it wasn't that he didn't have family maybe he chose not to deal with them...to live to see 100 is a blessing so you know he lived an honest lifestyle

As a veteran this was a good feeling to know people of all races can do good together.

This touches my heart to the Core. And to all the strangers that cared enough to do this for a fellow veteran, thank you! I'm proud to be an American! 🇺🇸

We don’t have many of these people left. They are the brave that we learned about as kids. He’s a hero. May he Rest In Peace, he might not have had a literal family but he definitely has an American family.

Wow!!! This is a great story. This is an American story. It's beautiful to see people who see beyond our races and differences and respect the service he gave. It is a shame he had to die alone. We all need to recognize all people for their goods and services. May Eugene Dednam Rest In and may he never be forgotten.

This man probably has way more people at his funeral then most people with “family” will ever have. This is cool to see, thats a long life man, he earned his. Thatl be something if i ever could live that long
