Can’t wait for Ibrahim Sangare to be the main example for every point in the book

This is actually really nice. I’ve been watching football my whole life but sometimes I feel frustrated that I dont know why certain things happen

I'm sold. Tifo have been the best and most reliable football analysis source for me in several years. Long gone ESPN, expensive but comical.

If there isn’t an audiobook version narrated by Joe Devine, I will cry.

I thought this was going to be an almost 2 min, straight to the point, explanation on how to watch football 😂

When mr Devine read it into an audio book I promise I will buy it! Since I allready mostly listen to Tifos videos more than watch them (allthough I do enjoy the watch when I give it a go!) It would be perfect to have the book in your soothing tone. Cheers for all the good listenings so far!

The book will be available internationally in all good bookshops and online! We’ll provide some specific links in the near future to those hoping to pre-order from outside of the UK, but rest assured you’ll be able to get it pretty much everywhere. - Joe

I'm so happy this came out. For too long I've had my back to the TV watching in the reflection of some tin foil

seems a little more for children or genuinely fresh minds entering the sport, and nothing to truly learn from or take in a literary sense

i think watching football needs a little more than 52 chapters considering they seem a sample size from the book's length. this sort of study is to be grounded upon its history, how it intertwines with the present and also ways that keep it fresh and still evolving. it's a good time to produce this content though, consumed incorrectly by humans of who genuinely believe that players like haaland are above zlatan solely for goal ratios. these are components within a book that requires intensive expanding upon but i doubt something important like this makes it

i would say in a nutshell, learn what you are weakest in, as it helps you unlearn some of the current biases and mistruths we see, for example the recent hype on a robotic, slightly swift striker in haaland. what you unlearn, and learn can be questioned in itself since how you learn within football can be subjectively explored, with some takes, ideas, theories that can be disputed from any metalogical lens, but again this type of thinking is to be thoroughly taught and shared with largely debated experts

start watching games for 90 minutes. sounds strange but a lot of people base some of their takes on slightly lesser teams upon stats, highlights, and the word of mouth to define their opinions. learning club functions from different tiers like mid table, relegation, top 6, 4, enchances your understanding brilliantly if you study each team of a league. crystal palace, monaco, fiorentina, are all great first teams to digest as they all offer uniquely similar and separate styles, overall allowing great access to learning players' abilities, and what level these often times prospective players can be at with higher tier clubs

i could do a whole essay on player analysis but this is a good start at least, as that would require an entire book with insanely depth fundamental outcomes on logic, and how to interpret all strengths of players, clubs, formations, etc

players, formations, history, future and discussions will be your core to grasping football at a literate scale

If this doesn't become some sort of audio book I'll riot - need that Devine voice

I'll put it on the shelf next to my copy of Ruud Gullit's book "How to watch football"
