I'm the soldier in the story and I still had to deal with this in 2013. I moved back to California and once my job sold their company we had to do background checks and they found out that Texas had a warrant for my arrest. So 6 years later I hired a lawyer, lost money, he did nothing. I flew in to El Paso and represented my self and I got traffic school. This was still so much fun and I'd do it all over again. Thanks again Andy.

What an insanely cool story. So many relevant clips from the actual event really added to this, instead of random pictures of cars.

This also really illustrates how pointless and reckless a lot of “speed enforcement” is among some LEOs in many jurisdictions.

In Massachusetts street racing is defined as “driving on a bet or wager” so I wonder if they would even allow the idea of a road rally without charging people with street racing.
On the other hand our state police seem to be much more relaxed than the county sheriffs featured in VinWiki stories.
