I liked this video solely because you got straight to the point. I'm so tired of tutorials having several minutes of fluff, or sometimes not even answering your questions. Thank You for not adding to the problem!

This video allowed me to be able to enjoy this game with my kids, because with out it, it's just too tedious and terrible on my thumbs to level up manually. With this method, I can set it up, and let it run while I go and do other things and come back to a strong playable character so my 5 and 7 year old can button mash. TIP: I had a difficult time figuring out the timing, because my character would either throw or kick the theif onto the ledge, not actually do the stomp. So I had to really analyze the video and timing of it. What helped me is, when you first do the air hit, the theif will de some fake bounces. You actually have to chill for a bit, and then walk over after the theif is registered as "lying down" and don't press any directional buttons. Press the strong and he'll stomp. This method helped me do it consistently. Hope it helps someone else out there. Thank you for sharing @comrade warren.

If anyone’s having trouble, I may be able to help! I was also having so much trouble trying to do this, but I finally got it. Basically, as he says, you jump and do a light attack. As soon as you and the thief fall on the floor, you heavy attack. That’s going to do the Stomping move, and boost them above the ledge, so the hawk can get the damage off. It’s all about timing, so make sure you time it right. I did it on Insane Mode, so it also works there! Hope this helps somebody.

Go as far away as you can to hit the X attack or else he will go onto ledge. Then run up to him on press Y.

This still works in 2024, its very slow but its definitely not as tedious as leveling normally

For me the biggest problem was spacing and timing.

make sure to not be moving while you stomp or you'll end up throwing instead and it won't work and if your light attack is just pushing them up make sure to jump and attack while in the air

If you are somehow stuck on the stomp part, you can tell when to stomp when hawkster starts to attack the thief.

This actually worked pretty well, though you do have to wait awhile, but other than that I used this to get my Red Knight from level 1 to 40 faster than just grinding through the beginning levels and then doing manual leveling on the troll or smth like that 👍
