All Christianity has ever been about is a relationship with the Father. Religion makes you believe you have to do "good" things to make it to Heaven and have God like you more. Jesus on the other hand, says come as you are. I have a plan for your life, despite what you've done. That's what this song embodies. I think it's beautiful, and this band did a great job making a Christmas song. That's all it is.

I read an interview where they basically said that they don't consider themselves a Christian band, but Matty said that his Christianity is too big a part of his life for that not to be expressed in his lyrics. And yes, some songs are very spiritual. That doesn't make them any less well written and performed, whether the listener is Christian or not.

Listen to the music of MMF I don't think they are religious. Reading the lyirics, you realize that what they have is a RELATIONSHIP, no a religion. Religion sucks, is made of rules invented by man. And this is the same for many bands. And I'm sure that is really, really hard to become religious when you are a rocker (I said this becouse the ambient of metal is many things, but religious) and your life has been changed by Jesus. You start to talk about Him because you feel a change not outside, but from the inside
