I have a Discovery 1 which I bought my wife. Main selling point was the big weight limit (She's not small) and the UL battery. I personally like it, even if it isn't a bike I would buy for myself. Nice to see Velotric make some good improvements on it.

Oh let me add something I am doing voice to text, we have two Discover -1s. And a high Step Nomad. I'm just saying if you can buy the Discover 1 for 1099 and they discover 2 is $500 more by the Discover 1 unless you're in really mountainous area or very hilly area. If you're in Florida or anywhere that is particularly flat there is no reason to spend the $500. The rear rack cost $69, do not waste your time and buying a front basket. The front basket makes your bike look like the stupidest thing by a bag for the back with saddlebags. The Discover one and the Nomad one will both do 26 mph unlocked. I'm 6 ft tall and 209 lb and I get my Nomad 1 to go 26 mph, that's hauling butt on a bike like this. I'm 62 years old. I'm not an old guy but sometimes I feel my age other than that I feel like I'm 42. I've had issues with their support on the phone but they work through it and they've called me back and made it up to me. It's not a big deal to put the bike together they give you all the tools it will take you about 2 hours if you've never done it before, if you're a mechanical it will take you about 40 minutes. It's just a huge box and the Nomad is even in a bigger box. they are a lot of fun we take our bike out west in fort Lauderdale where we ride them and we go on the levee at the Everglades we've gone over 28 mi and the battery doesn't even lose a bar which means it's still full charged??? When we put it on the charger it only charges for an hour and this is the same for the Discover and the nomad. When we go out and ride them we bring a guest and ride all three bikes and pedal assist one or two because we're on trails and can't go any faster than 12 to 15 miles an hour and that's just fine. If you're a man and you're 6 ft tall I recommend you get the high step that someone with a bar it's still super easy to get on it's just a much beefier bike and it is taller and bigger whether it's the Discover or the nomad, their customer service did not tell me this but when you do the dimensions on the bike you will see that it is a bigger bike whether you buy the Discover high step or The Nomad high step they are bigger than the step through, they are taller and a little bit longer, the space from the seat to the handlebars is longer for a taller person. The high step is more of a masculine looking bike, or a less binary.lol

I'd love to see some of these features show up as an upgrade to the T1 ST; namely, the richly featured rear tail light, the adjustable stem, the controller and screen with all those options, . If all that added 3 bs the T1 would still be a nice manageable 39 lbs A bit more battery would be nice but not essential. Please tell us that Velotric has that in the works for the T1 ST!

Is it me or are most of these DTC ebike companies only releasing step thru bikes now?

My area has a lot inclines at tunnels and bridges. 20 - 30 ft elevation changes with ramps approx. 150 ft. long. Problem is, the ramp entrances have sharp turns, so I can't build up much speed on approach. I'd also need to maintain 20 - 25 mph to keep up with traffic. How do you think the Discover 2 would handle it? I've seen cadence sensor bikes zipping up those ramps. Just curious thow a torque sensor setup would perform, as I understand that it requires more effort from the rider. Thanks! Appreciate the review.

Is there a way to secure the bike if course in combination with an actual lock? Like on my Lectric you need the key to start, and the Lectric xpress you can power down the battery and lock it up so no one can turn it on without the keys to unlock the battery to turn the battery on. I was wondering if the discover 2 has some type of locking feature, as I understand the key is just to simply remove the battery.

So I have two discover 1. Just bought them 6 weeks ago now they come out with the number two. The main difference I see is it has a better screen because the screen on ours kind of sucks it has a better tail light, cuz when it comes on it kind of sucks. We have a rear rack we paid for what the rack comes on it now for free? And it has a tail light on it. I don't really need to go 28 mph on a bicycle. Has anybody else gone 28 mph on their bicycle with a bike helmet on? We have ours unlocked and do 26 the problem is the pedal assist really sucks because you can only go first and second gear with pedal assist up to about 12 mi an hour and that's all the pedal assist will do other than that, other than that I don't see any more wattage doing anything for us because we're in Florida. The main thing that bothers me is the tail light and the screen, maybe they'll make some type of upgrade so that we can change the screen to a color screen that lays on its side. Also I just bought a nomad and I got it for
$1, 304 which shipping and tax.. if you're a woman you should buy the Discover. If you're a man and you want to go anywhere off-road even if it's on a golf trail or just on the grass by a nomad it's twice as much bike and it's twice as Nice to Ride incredibly comfy. On the discoverer we put a shock mounted seatpost. We also adjusted the handlebars and put a softer seat on it do not buy their aftermarket seat or any of their seats. Try some on Amazon to you find the right one buy one with real springs. But if you're a man and you're at least 6 ft tall by The Nomad. It's like comparing an inexpensive sports car to a full size suburban with four-wheel drive.

I'm 5'4 and need to commute 4 miles to work, some hills involved

My current regular bike takes me 45 minutes and I'm exhausted by the time I arrive

Any recommendations?

Battery is way too weak. Needs 20 Ah to be a true cummuter/delivery ebike.

If the torque speed is being affected by the pass setting, and it’s not a true torque sensor.
