Yeah, as long as you’ve got everything open, replace everything! Water connections, waste pipes, electrical lines, anything and everything that you would have to run in the house while you’ve got it open and chance to bring it all up-to-date. Then it will be a long time before you have to worry about it!

(We've missed you!) Whoever eventually buys this house will have a sweet, well-built home. I'm glad you took the surrounding homes into consideration since that has a huge affect on value. Don't leave tools or anything of value inside overnight during construction. Thieves have crowbars (that they stole) to break in easily, and they love to steal tools to pawn.

Worked on my first house at 20. It was a brick, Sears Ctaft house in downtown Baltimore, brick exterior. 5 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms. That was in 2001. Kept at it. Proud of you. Start young, work hard learn everything. Good job.

I would recommend that you get receipts from the previous owner, with dates, amounts etc. That way you can show a bank in the future that you have experience paying for a loan. If you want to get a conventional house loan in the future.
