Don’t forget to add oil to that ac compressor!

Most compressor will have a tiny bit of oil already added into them from the factory but it’s always recommended to put the correct oil level whenever you replace a component from the AC system.

The oil lubricate the entire system and making everything more efficient which will then last
longer. 04-08 tsx requires 8.11 ounces

I drained all the oil out for weight reduction as well as the engine and trans fluid, I'm about to go send it.

I have an 03 Envoy. Getting ready to drop a new compressor in the next few minutes. The seller on EBAY shipped it with 80ML. That translates to 2.75oz. He said this is enough. I'm a little skeptical. I guess if I add a little more in the evap and condensor it will all work out.

My civic is being such a bitch, the ac eventually started only working on regular ac, no max ac option, then eventually failed. If you smack the dashboard you can hear the blower motor start up like it wants to work then just dies. I'm about to likely have to test everything from fuses, relays, the clutch, resistor, blower motor....needless to say I'm very cranky in this 100 degree whether with no ac especially when I LIVE in the car. Ya know, the American dream.

I changed my ac compressor and only rechargered it with 2 ac cans and once I was done it started making a loud rattle but it was throwing cold air and the rattle is still there. You think it’s because I haven’t added oil ? 😮

When the clutch gets burned up does the system get contaminated ? I want to know the likelihood of needing to replace other parts like condenser, dessicant bag . drier ? I've got a 15 Ford Fusion 2.5 L . Clutch looks bad the clutch material is coming out the front

For my mercedes e240 model 2000
Is it suitable to add about 50 ml R134a pag 46 for the compressor by injecting oil through the low port while the ac is running very slow

Did you add to the precharged or drain that first

I am about to buy a new AC compressor.. do I have to add more oil to it even if its new? My last compressor was also brand new but failed after 6-7 months. Do you think the reason could be because Mechanic didn't add extra oil before installing it in my car?

Hey I know I was wondering if I should add oil to my ac system before re-charging it? I just got this car and the ac system is empty and had been for I’m guessing 10 years it’s a 2004 wrx. The previous owner was my fiancé uncle and he said that it must have leaked out and he never cared to get it fixed because he never drove the car. So do I need to add more oil to the system at this point?

If I add oil to the evaporator when I replace that, do I still need to add oil to the compressor if I am doing everything at the same time?
