Diplomacy in Action: Espen Barth Eide

UN Special Adviser Espen Barth Eide works with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders and their representatives to help in the search for a comprehensive and mutually acceptable settlement to the Cyprus problem. He leads the Secretary-General’s good offices on the issue, which is considered Europe's oldest frozen conflict. Mr. Eide spoke to us on the sidelines of the 2014 UN General Assembly debate in New York, as part of the DPA Senior Leadership Interview Series.
