I've tried this with a cheap magnifying mirror from a thrift store and got fairly decent results! Nowhere near first surface mirror quality, but for $4 I'm happy.

If your light source is at the center of curvature, a spherical and not a paraboloidal mirror works better... slightly.

How did NASA do this on full size T-38 jets ? From what I think I understand, they flew the jets using the Sun as a light source.
If this is the case though, I find it odd, since the jets were photographed from above.
Unless the jets were inverted ( no reason to be ! )
I'd like to try this on my ( full size and not a model ) car.

I have a question about the deflection coils and yoke out of a CTR television could I use the yolk as a one-to-one Transformer with the coils and all would it make a power transformer If you know anything about this I can't find anything online about whether you can do this or not
