As a deep autumn myself I assumed all shades of red would suit us and I couldn't understand why bright red never suited me. But seeing this video I can totally see a difference. And I now know the shade of red makes a huge difference. Thank you for this.

you may not have a filter on but your camera is adjusting to the light and color so you can't trust this video at all because the camera is changing how you look in comparison to the overall brightness. your camera will automatically make you look brighter relative to dark surroundings and make you look darker in comparison to light surroundings. that is what you are actually seeing in this video.

I have a blouse in the same colour as the second darker red, and when I wear it I honestly feel so good, and always get compliments at work! (And yes dark autumn obv).
Same goes for nail colours. I have a whole array of reds but I will go for the darker, slightly burgundy reds over the bright ones as they just fit better.

I was typed as a "deep autumn" over 30 years ago. I get complimented on bright, warm red.

Fashion photographer here, that's just the phone camera adjusting itself to accommodate the colours. If a focal point is too light it will darken the surroundings in proportion, if it's too light it will do the opposite. This isn't because of her colour season

Are you sure you’re not a deep winter? Tomato red is typically considered a warm red and that maroon looks cool to me. You might want to do some comparisons of blue vs Orange. You might be deep winter… which shares some colors with deep autumn. You come across to me as neutral slightly cool. Thanks for sharing the difference is very clear! ❤

Your camera is adjusting too. Can see more if cover your face & look at how the background gets brighter.

This will also make higher or lower contrast on face.

The tomato red is too bright for you and makes you look yellowish. The darker red is 👍🏼.

I’m a dark autumn because I’m dark and warm, but I’m also muted so that’s why a bright red wouldn’t work, but something like burgundy does.

Bright cool toned reds look stunning on me but the maroon or reds with more brown makes me look sick . Happens with nail paint as I wear only reds.
