The OSU media was camped out at the airport, waiting for JT to land. He's been very good, people were expecting crazy stats.

Cam Ward's play has been right there with Howard.

I used to go home for lunch in elementary school. My school was also at the end of the street. Late 1970's.

The only 3 WRs I’ve seen dominate like that as a freshman were Julio Jones, Sammy Watkins, and Larry Fitzgerald. You could tell they were IT from the jump!

Doug, I am impressed with your background. You have come a long way young man, I am proud of you. Keep up the good work. Enough said. - Shane

Agree on Raiola 100%. It is extremely cringey to watch.

Cam ward is the quarterback I wanted and he’s balling out but I have some hope for Howard after these first two games

It amazes me how people will always find something to bitch about and in this case it’s CJ Hicks. We can ONLY play 11 on defense and we probably have 25+ players who could actually be very good starters for us or somewhere else. I trust completely James Laurinitus and Jim Knowles and realize they are a hell of a lot smarter than of OSU fans. If we move CJ to defensive end you’ve got SIX players in front of him….. Jack, JT, Caden, Kenyatta, Mitchell, and Eddrick….. at best CJ is #7. I love CJ and understand he was a five star player coming out of high school but as Bill mentioned he doesn’t seem to process at LB fast enough and it’s his third year already and we have so much depth at DE ….. who are you going to take off the field to play CJ?? Unfortunately I think CJ is the Jayden Ballard of the defense. As Birm mentioned on the Snap Judgements podcast, I’d like to see CJ redshirt this year and then move to DE now to get a little work but also remain as an emergency linebacker behind Cody, Sonny, Arvell, and Gabe, but ahead of Peyton Pierce.

JJ = LeBron physical specimen
Marv = kobe always working
As great as marv is JJ has a higher ceiling

I don’t think it’s really a question. I mean as great as Marvin was and is I think given the chance, especially in Chip Kelly’s offense, Jeremiah could have the same impact. But the deciding factor would be I believe Jeremiah will be unselfish and block and do it well.

Our WR’s blocking with our talent at RB
Could make us completely unstoppable as DC’s will have no answers

You all must know something we don't because this entire deep dive on QBs and so far not one mention of Air Noland. That's kinda crazy, actually.

JJ Crazy Talk segments must include comparisons to the OG Tate Martell. 😅

Not crazy if it’s just true!!! O-H. Love me some Doug & Bill. 2 best at TPD. And man oh man did we ever pick right with Howard, my top 2 wanted targets in the QB portal were Ward or Leonard but 2 weeks in I think we landed on the best QB for possible for this team in several different aspects

Herschel Walker's freshman yr at UGA was crazy....HW was the first freshman that I saw run over and around / over older kids

The issue is, CJ isn’t a traditional LB. He was recruited here under the pretense that he would be playing that hybrid/jack/bullet position, but apparently Larry Johnson doesn’t want to use that role and Knowles is unable to overrule him for some reason. I guess because he’s Larry Johnson. Anyway, CJ is being asked to play a position that doesn’t really fit him.

I think by the end of the season, the receiving aspect would be super close but the blocking would give JJ the upper hand slightly. Jeremiah is a more willing blocker than Marv. ... which impacts the team on runs as well.

To compare JJ Smith to Adrien Peterson, do a "through 2 games" and compare the stats. Then pick who you'd rather have. So like a week by week tracker and see how JJ stacks up.

Re: the MHJ vs JS comparison, the apples & oranges are different. If Jeremiah comes in behind Olave, Wilson, & Ebuka, ..and Marvin enters behind Ebuka, Tate, & Innis, I believe they're pretty much equal. Feels like Smith is stratosphere bound. Jerry Rice is IMO the blueprint/gauge for WR greatness, and we've had several on that level. Brian Hartline is the ultimate bridge for these talented kids coming out of HS, seeking greatness at the highest level.

Maalik Murphy entered the transfer portal and committed to Duke in December last season while Texas was preparing for CFP
