This video is about world travel hacks to save money and how to stretch your world travel budget. We share 20 of our money saving travel tips and tricks that help you save big on travel around the world. We include travel hacks and general information that are helpful to the world traveler on things like finding lower cost countries, traveling in shoulder season, using the best travel credit cards, hotel reward programs, how to find cheap flights and much, much more. We are a senior travel couple who travel full-time around the world. We have been to 81 different countries and try to help others travel the world, find travel bargains and live their best retirement lives.

▶️ We started our channel to inspire and share our world travel lifestyle, adventures, and optimistic outlook on life with others. After completing a two-year journey in our Airstream to see all 50 states and 51 National Parks, we left to travel abroad. We have downsized our possessions and sold our home so that we can wander about with only the things in our backpacks.

We love living on the road, traveling each week to a new location. We plan to travel extensively to every part of the world. Ours is not a slow travel lifestyle but rather a vagabondish one. The goal is not to check a country off a list, but to experience it by meeting new people, seeing how others live, and making new friends. We believe in laughing, loving, and living our lives to the fullest.

We are working hard to build a beautiful website where you can get travel information about the places we have been. In addition, we post blog articles to help you travel better. Our channel is a way of augmenting that effort, so sometimes we post videos about how to travel or a vlog showing our lives on the road as we do an activity or an adventure. We also post Shorts, so check those out, too. We hope to entertain you, but most importantly, we want to inspire you and give you the confidence to plan your own adventure around the world.

I love to travel, we left the U S in 2012 went to England ( where I'm from) then on to Spain rented an apartment and traveled Europe. Came back to the US in 2019. We are now on the move again. As soon as our house sells we are starting our travels again. Starting with Panama. I ordered the backpack from your website and just waiting for my husband's to arrive. We are in our early 70's so our friends think we are crazy. Thanks for all your tips, this time around we will be better informed.

We relentlessly use cruises..it is the most cost effective and at times even a bargain 😁

We only rented a car to go to sienna from Tuscany, because we weren't able to locate a bus to get us there. The drive there was great, GPS on the way back, lost its mind, we were 2 tracking through vineyards, it was crazy, and took twice as long. We loved the trains, busses, trolleys, and subways. We only wish that the US had cross country trains that are as reliable as the ones in Europe. 😊

I cannot agree with you more about not renting a car, especially where they drive on the "wrong" side of the road. Hubby insisted on renting a car in the UK and Scotland for 3 weeks a few years ago, and it was terribly unnerving. We never did get used to it. I'm still not over it, 😆. Never again. Never. Thanks for all the good ideas!

Excellent tips! Totally agree that "Atitude is Everything' when traveling. Something unexpected usually happens, but you cant let those things ruin your whole trip. Thanks so much,

Great video! I also generally book my flights on Wednesdays for the same reasons you gave. WhatsApp is absolutely essential. It's really the standard way everyone communicates around the world. Public transportation is so much better in other countries than in most of the US. And generally very affordable. But in Southeast Asia it's just as cheap to take a Grab (Southeast Asia's Uber), so I've found myself doing that more often. One of the challenges I've found with nomadic travel is learning how to eat so that you don't, (1) break the bank and (2) gain too much weight. I've adopted the same strategy of having only two meals a day. And if I feel a little hungry later in the day, I have some fruit for a snack...or an occasional gelato. lol

Please, please, please do a video of your top 5-10 go to meals. I’m learning, but would so appreciate ideas for simple meals that have ingredients that are internationally available and waste free!!

Agree with all your points. Thanks for the final reminder - no debt. We strive to live a debt free life and are able to feel free during retirement. My son and his girlfriend were given an offer at the gate to upgrade to first class by paying an additional fee from Zurich to the State. They said it is worth every single penny and will do it again. Thank you for sharing your vlogs and preparing us for retirement travel. Four months till retirement.

We took a road trip in Ireland and Northern Ireland and the driving took a bit to get used to! Many of the things we wanted to see were off the beaten path, so driving was a good choice for us. In Paris and London it was strictly public transit. We love your videos!

You speak our language! We relate to your early travel days and Costcos 😂
We taught our kids to only bring backpacks. Such good advise!
We also DIY our travels itinerary. I often look up itineraries from excursion companies to get ideas. Thank you for all your content. Safe travels ❤

Great advice! I like DIY travel too. I did a two week safari with my daughter for $1, 000. We stayed in a youth hostel in Kenya, hired a local tour guide. He came with a 4x4 and a driver/chef. We camped in the wilderness and the chef cooked for us. We saw the great migration and had unforgettable close encounters with predators. The best DIY trip I have ever done.

United Stated prices are out of control. Great info, thanks! Ps: can you make a video about crime like your credit card was stolen or pin pocketing.

Great tips! On the ATM withdrawals we usually just decline the conversion that is offered. The vast majority of time the foreign banks will still process the transaction and then Schwab (or whichever bank your ATM card is associated with) will run the conversion at a much better rate.
