Tory politicians and the wealthy that support them expect their lifestyles to remain unchanged despite the country being significantly poorer. Workers and middle income earners have tolerated exorbitant profits because their lifestyles, without being lavish, were comfortable. Now that this is in jeopardy, the unreasonable gap in equality has become intolerable and mechanisms that have caused such divides need to be undone to return that wealth back to the masses. Higher wages and job security in exchange for a very significant chunk of that profit margin is the necessary sacrifice that big business, their shareholders and their political representatives need to accept. The era of 1% growth per annum is over.

It is not only about wages. It is about the right of workers to a decent life. It is about ruling billionaires telling workers to tighten their belts. If we don’t want to end up in a workhouse, we got to have these strikes and we got to show unity.

We have been governed by people who have allowed non dom rich to put their money, made in Britain, untaxed cash, into off shore accounts whilst workers in Britain have been short changed, continuously.10 years of austerity after a banking crash that made bankers and hedge funders richer. The people who caused it went unpunished whilst the rest of us had to put up and shut up.
Austerity lead to people becoming dissatisfied and they looked for scapegoats.Thus, we had Brexit xenophobia.Hate crimes increased, racism increased, poverty increased and we now have lower living standards and a divided nation.We have a bunch of morally bankrupt people in power and a weak opposition.
Look at what happened in Venezuala.This is how things escalate.

The feelings of workers are compounded when there is an invasion of illegal economic migrants getting benefits that even British citizens dont get.

According to the graph at 1:43, wages have been growing ahead of prices most of the time. I'm not sure she can really call that 'wage stagnation' as she does. Granted, that is following a period of wages falling behind. But that was after a period of wages being ahead. And so on and on I expect.
