Hey Brother, cool that you finally got an update you didn´t got 2.1 so at least now you have 2.2. I think the function with the V2V vehicle was already at 2.1 need to check that. Good that you had your power cord connected!

Oh man, if I understand you correctly, that's scary. I never thought about OTAs severely draining a 12v during an update. I figured EVs pulled from the main battery whenever needed to automatically charge up the 12v from dropping too low. In the case of my Zero SR/F motorcycle, you have to have the bike keyed on to receive over-the-air updates, which I assume is to avoid the issue you're describing. I don't know if my Mach-E depends solely on the 12V for updates or can also pull from main pack for larger updates. But I guess I better find out! Concerning your alien spaceship sound, I have been disappointed to find that sometimes Ford takes away features during updates, which is not cool. Zero also yanked out a beta navigation feature during an update. The brave new world of OTAs. 🤷

It is INSANE, in caps, to have an OTA take 1 hr. I do a lot of software in my line of work and installing LINUX on a Raspberry Pi, if you need to install LINUX, it can take 1 hr BUT the install checks the battery level and will not install if the levels are too low. You can, and it's recommended, to be plugged into AC. But other than a full LINUX install I've seen no OTAs that demand an hour or longer for an install and risk being bricked. That's insane and really shows incompetence.

My FOO completely bricked after the first 2.1 update. I replaced the 12 v battery and still not working. Any advice you can offer?

Hi Mike. how many %SoC have you lost during Update? The Message that you should have 80%SoC confuse me a bit.

My vehicle got interrupted for software update 2.2. Now the exterior mirror lights stay on on front orange lights stay on. Any idea on what to do?

Yeah one of the recalls was for font size. If that was remove they are once again not compliant.

Also i have my fuse pulled for my siren. Does anyone know if that could effect the update?

Hey Mike, I didnt see the telltale 2.1 large PARK font.
2.1 was supposed to be included in 2.2.

Also does it give an option to switch the lock/unlock chirp? Just like you, I hope that they did not mess with our Spaceship sound😅

I've been told not to have the battery tender on when expecting the update or it will fail. Is this incorrect? I see that you had it on
