Brilliant. The "weekend interview series" is already classic. This one in particular is shaping up to be the most accessible exposition of the mind of Andrew Jones I am personally aware of. Good work Steve.

It’s always nice to hear the passion when an artist talks about his craft!

Wonderful Steve ! I've spent a lot of time delving into speaker design during a period recovering from surgery when I couldn't do much else but surf the Internet. Having an engineering background, I've nearly always built my own speakers to established designs. I know the process to develop a good speaker is immensely complex and expensive. I'm really looking forward to the next parts !

Great content.

Couple of random observations:
1. Steve, you make me feel great about my clutter. ;)
2. Love the clock in the mirror.

You’re spoiling us, Steve! Nelson and now Andrew?!
No need to apologize one bit about your mic either. It’s the content that counts, because that was an especially great interview.
Thanks so much, Steve.

I was just typing out Laurence Dickie (Vivid Audio/B&W) when Andrew brought him up in this video( i've mentioned him before in a previous Audiophilliac post ) .Both talented and nice guys.

Brilliant, this is already a classic. Especially the way Andrew describe the AES society back in UK. You don’t get further by excessively hiding your work from others, you advance by working together with your competitors as good friends... but there will be some trade secrets of course ... collective learning makes us collectively much stronger :-)

Even more Andrew, you seem to be a really likeable guy :-)

I would be interested in what Andrew Jones, and his colleagues, think about Alex and his room full of compression, Alex's zeal for compression, Alex's obsession with compression.

Being English I am probably biased, but could Andrew Jones be any more down to earth?

It was good to hear KEF, Quad, and Celestion mentioned.
I have fond memories of the SL600 speakers.

I've just 'downgraded' (floorstansing to bookshelf), due to recently moving into a smaller home. I have bought the Arv Navis last week. Waiting on delivery, so don't have any thoughts yet.

Great to hear from Andrew... Interesting stuff!!!

Where could I find his paper on speaker cabinets?

Andrew making a joke:
If America start using SI units instead of pounds overnight. Then we will be a MASSconfussion.. haha

Completely unnoticed by Steve. ;)

Most of the speakers in my house are Andrew Jones designs from one or another company. My "Computer Speakers" that I listened to this interview on are a pair of Pioneer towers he designed. Love this sort of content Steve.

So open baffle speakers are the best way to go?
