High School fitness 1962

Показать описание
High school fitness in 1962 was much more rigorous than it is today. In fact, the fitness program at La Sierra High School in California was so demanding that it was featured in a national magazine and even received an endorsement from President John F. Kennedy.
The program was designed by coach Stan LeProtti, and it emphasized physical strength, endurance, and agility. Students were required to do a variety of exercises, including push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, chin-ups, rope climbs, and sprints. They were also required to participate in sports such as basketball, football, and track and field.
