It’s absolutely gorgeous. The pattern is super cool yet super subtle

I love the hammer it looks great, I've been watching for a long time now and it's amazing to see just how far you've come. A booming buisness and a lovely family. I wish you nothing but the best. I do hope to see a longer in depth project like the Viking sword again soon.

We'll never know if it's a real framing hammer until you frame out an entire freestanding structure with it. Time to build yourself a new entire house with this thing!

I've always wondered about stuff like this (how Smiths use spare bits). Be neat to see what else you guys can make. Sort of like a Scrapwood Challenge...
Random thought... I wonder how Nickel Bronze alloy would work for a knife? (I was browsing through materials available in McMaster-Carr [it's addictive], and thought... Hmm, probably not as durable as 5160, but better than my chinesium Buck knife.)

As both a framer and a very long-time fan of your work, I'd literally build a house for this hammer. Besides it not sporting my prefered framing hammer "waffle, " the story, travel, pup-training and craftsmanship are real winners here! Also, when will we have another 20-plus-part series?? ;P 💙💚

Epoxy is a poor choice for the handle, just because it will create hard ridges between the leather, a flexible glue like barge would be much better

I think it’s time for a longer part series! Like the Viking sword or bike series. Maybe an endeavor into uncharted territories like armor smithing?

Forge a socket set out of all those hammer plugs! You already made the ratchet so it's the next logical step

‘The leather handle they used to have’ they still make them and easily the best handle for a Estwing hammer 👌🏻

Awesome hammer only down fall from using leather handle hammers (past exp) is your missing the pommel plate that is on all tools and knifes that are leather stack handles, the glue/epoxy will separate from the steel. Pommel plate gets pressed on and the end tang gets heated and riveted over. But the hammer is a beautiful skillful design as is everything you make 👍

That is a beautiful hammer! Swoopy, light and the lines just all flow together. It looks almost like a "modern" warhammer that some futuristic knight would carry around the battlefield.

That is beautiful! We need more Damascus tool recreations like this and the socket wrench please. 👌

Love how you put together this collaborative effort. With Will growing his channel and you continuing with yours find time to do a collaborative effort between your shops and his as you move between the US and Uk.

As a framer, this makes for a very good carpenter framing hammer mix. But the claw is too curved for a typical framing hammer and the striking face is in a weird spot. It looks amazing, but some tweaks I’d make are a slightly thicker shaft, a wider and more straight on striking head, and a straighter claw. All in all great work, you’re doin more than I could ever😂

Love the channel and that's a cool hammer. QUICK QUESTION. I thought that one of the reasons for a leather ring handle is that the leather has some natural give to it making it a good grip. Isn't that lost if you add epoxy to the equation? I recently made a KABAR knife replica and used leather rings on my handle (I made a video of it on my channel if you curious). I just soaked the leather in neats foot oil and then compressed it on to the handle and pinned on the pommel. I like the slight sponginess of the leather handle. does the epoxy detract from that? Oh and I vote for one of those drills that has a pushable handle on it where the pushing down on the handle causes the spinning of the drill or bit driver...

It'd be really nice to see what the Montana shop is doing from time to time. Maybe that team can make a unique piece?
