Very well presented! I agree with you! My 1st. computer was a Sinclair spectrum 48 on which I learnt Basic and later Z 80 Machine code!

As somebody who also grew up with the C64 it's good to see some of the other hackable technologies that foster innovation and creativity, rather than stifling it.

Correction; the judge knew programming but learned Java during trial.

" THE COURT: All right. I have -- I was not good -- I couldn't have told you the first thing about Java before this trial. But, I have done and still do a lot of programming myself in other languages. I have written blocks of code like rangeCheck a hundred times or more. I could do it. You could do it. It is so simple."

Good presentation, but something that bugs me is at 28:15 "In half an hour I knew Python and it was awesome." It's like learning a few words in some language and saying you know that language. Exposure != knowing something. The speaker obviously became very good at Python, but I hear too often someone playing around with a technology for a tiny bit and saying they know it.
