It's not about saving money. It's about saving the only planet we have.
Stupidity is a talent for misconception.

Huh! Why would I trade in my gas car for a EV that can't travel a long distance and have to wait so long to get a charge? 25 mins to and hour. What happens if the power goes out and you forget to charge?

It saved us twenty thousand dollars in gas…….now you know why the gas and oil companies are panicking.

Having to be in never ending financial nightmare isnt going to save you anything.a used EV is effectively worthless no dealer will want it in exchange.

I guess the Consumer Reports Automotive engineer hasn’t heard of Tesla. He stated that “the supply of EV’s is just not there.”Well, Tesla has been selling EV’s since 2008, and has a 30, 000+ fast chargers in convenient locations. The charging network is rapidly expanding without using taxpayer dollars!! Oh! I forgot. Tesla does zero advertising, so they don’t pay Consumer Reports magazine for advertising. I guess it was an accident that they showed a black Tesla charging, and a Tesla charging port in the video. With Tesla you don’t have to worry about “buying a first year model.” Those came along 14 years ago!

AS IF ELECTRICITY WONT JUST GO UP IN PRICE SO IT COSTS MORE TO RUN A EV THAN A PETROL CAR

Question, if we quit using gasoline power, where will the material come from to produce tires and asphalt. We still end this stuff with electric cars, don't we?

With EV the best thing you can do learn ways to prolong battery life because you don’t want to end up having to replace this HV battery. I own an EV/HEV shop and even a Nissan leaf will run you 15K for a new HV battery pack That’s a leaf with 75 miles range only

EV will put a tremendous strain on our infrastructure, hybrids make more sense. Let's go BRANDON

I just don’t understand how they want everyone to own an EV when most people can’t afford a new car anyways

Good video—concise and to the point.

Also, that the Consumer Reports guy should be doing more of these videos. He’s a natural.

People please do not fall for the trick of saving anything when states are implementing double and triple registration fees for EVs making up for fuel taxes.🙄

Electric cars are the dumbest idea of the century. Right now the car engine transforms gasoline into energy and uses it. You can drive if you have gas and the tank is refilled effortlessly.
Electric cars need electricity which must be generated in a power plant. That will make electricity prices go through the roof and no way will enough power plants be built (costs a lot of money) to compensate for the loss of all the individual car engines. That means that China and India will be burning even more fossil fuels to generate electricity for the electric cars and rest assured that they will not care about using any means to reduce emissions like today's gasoline engines.
