My wife is working the NYE shift in a Covid ward. I sent her this song -- it's lifted the whole medical crew! They've been dancing to it, as they found time between patients. Thank you for this magic the medical team danced their way into 2021!!!

I know what I’m about to say might come across as selfish, especially since I fully understand the pandemic was a nightmare for so many. I know a lot of people lost their jobs, or even loved ones, and I want to apologize if I sound insensitive to them. But for me, lockdown was a really happy time. I stayed with my mom, who was battling cancer. Because of work, I hadn’t seen her in a long time, but from March 2020 to April 2021, I was at her house—eating her amazing cooking, talking for hours, helping her around the house. She passed away on May 3rd, 2021, and since then, it feels like my life has been in free fall. I gained weight, started drinking too much, lost my job, and ended up in so much debt that I’m still buried in it. Without the pandemic, her fate would’ve been the same, but I would’ve been left with the guilt of not having been there with her during that time. It wasn’t until 2024 that I heard this song, and I loved it because it brought me back to that period... Anyway, sorry for unloading my story on you.
