Beautiful, this. I didn’t know anything about this band. I thought it was a scrappy experimental band that no one had heard of including me. I chalk this up to the further isolationism of my country and the music press is all but gutted and where we once had radio and even music television, It’s the body without organs without a head and we find ourselves finding music in a very rogue and odd ways. This beat to this piece is spectacular like a ball bouncing and then riffing into the interstices. I’ve probably listened to this piece and couple dozen times now and find it soaring. Bravo

It almost is never what you think with these fellas… and they are *still* ahead of their time.

I have repeatedly thought they fell off. Only to find they were paving a new path. One that everyone then followed.

I am still digesting all they released in the past few years. I have been a fan long enough to know i haven’t lodged it in my mind right yet.

Between some thom solo stuff, confidenza, and the two new smile albums… i love them lots already and can tell… its just like the rest of their work.

Great out the gate. And a masterpiece after some digesting.

They always are paving a new way. I don’t understand how. I would say they still have the rush and inspiration of a teenager but honestly young folks just aren’t ubiquitously like this anymore.

I think the smile and crew just have a thing that most don’t. And its absolutely routine. They can’t not make music that explains exactly where they are.
