I tried this in Blitz right after watching the video. First time, my opponent advanced a pawn instead of the knight, blocking my bishop and ending my dreams of victory. My second opponent fell for it hook, like, and sinker and I went on to a glorious victory over a higher rated player.

This trap is way more well known than you say it is

Wow. I was going to try this opening after watching the video and the second game, my opponent was trying to use this opening, but I didn’t fall for the trap. Thanks.

ah yes, the intercontinental ballistic missile gambit

Funnily enough, Lichess suggests that Nc6 or Nf6 is also a decent way to pull off the same trap in a _subtle_ manner -- many take on c7...

You could take the pawn with queen and possibly still do this without losing your knight

My opponent seeing how i move the queen side knight instead of the king side:

I used to play this! I always love bishop traps on f2/f7 deflecting the king away from the queen. I also once accidentally discovered a crazy ridiculous line

The title of this video made me lose my shit. 💀💀💀💀

More videos need to show us backup plans when we sacrifice pieces for a trap only for the opponent to detail it before it comes to fruition. They almost never take the bait so what's the point? We're just losing.

The englund gambit has a third way to play. No one has discovered the third way.

nah around 1200-1300 the opponent usually plays with the queen's knight to defend the queen or defend the pawn in other ways or just continue developing.
