Thanks for the video, I like the screw hole trick. Hopefully it will flatten out with the clearcoat if you are doing one.

I think it's why (at least traditionally) Fender went Alder for painted bodies, and Ash for bursts or natural. It was easier to fill. I really need to get over my spray aversion and put up the murder curtains like you when it's painting time. I can come up with nice smooth finishes with a roller (you're going to level sand anyway). It just takes so much longer.

I thought you might leave this one natural.. as i am warming up to the 1970's when the natural finish was all the rage.. is a nice piece of ash you have there.. great job.. !!

Looks good Patrick! You could clear coat over the color, I always do. It will give you a flatter finish in the end.

Hi Patrick, Just wondering why you did prime the body after sealer was applied.?use when it available Rustolium primer after leveling
I shoot co lour then top coat clear.
This ensures there are no dips in the finish from the ash timber.

Hi, as per the thinine series, this is another interesting build. May I ask you, when applying the joint filler and letting it cure, do you sand it down competely by hand on a sanding block or do you use an orbital sander...same question for sanding between coats when spraying...you use a sanding block by hand or an orbital sander please

Any idea where to get the 'joint filler'. I get so confused between pore/grain/etc filler for pore filling and grain filling. Coming on nicely.
