Everybody forgets that you can lean the front seat all the way back with the headrest off and it makes a lounge chair when you sit in the back seat. Both front seats do this, it's great for drive-in movie theaters.

111k miles on mine, bought new in 2012. Auto trans because of heavy commuting traffic. It has been a r9ck solid car. Snapped an axle in half and lost a couple of door lock actuators, but that is it. I change the trans fluid every 30k miles, which I highly recommend, easy and cheap even using OEM DW-1 fluid. The engines are bulletproof. No turbo/GDI stuff to break. Fun little car.

I had this same exact Fit Sport in this color, extremely reliable. I’d always have people come up to me and ask me about it. Fun taking camping. It felt bigger on the inside than my new 2021 Venza because of Honda’s Magic Seats.

I have the Fit in the same colour with the 5-speed M/T and absolutely love it. I even towed a teardrop trailer (1, 000 lbs) while having a roof cargo box on the Fit and 2 adults + 1 large dog + all our belonging when we moved across Canada.

Update it now has 325k on it.

I have a 2009 Fit with 242k on it. It does not leak or burn anything. It runs perfect. More proof of how superior Honda motors are.

This is the kind of car that would benefit a lot from a manual trans.

Also, predictability... Yes. I have an old-ish Subaru which is not fast by most accounts, but it's super fun to throw around because it's predictable. Through a curve, you tap the brake and it rotates, tap the gas and it straightens out. No electronic nannies required. Just all the control to the driver.

Yes how fast a car is, is not really important it’s about the handling, reliability, and that fuel mileage. Here at 0 views

As someone who owns a 2012 model Fit, it's hilarious how clean the front of this car is compared to mine.

2010 Fit Sport manual driver for the last 10 years. Hands down the best vehicle I’ve owned and often prefer it to my mazda3 hatch manual. More power is not necessarily more fun, this car has such an eager attitude.

I use the radio power button as mute function, no need to dial the volume.

I know I'm super late but as someone who drives cars like this quickly down narrow mountain roads - the Fit chassis is amazing. Can push it so hard and it has barely any lean. When it transissions to oversteer its very predictable and smooth. It looks tall but the centre of gravity is still fairly low. Easy to embarrass much quicker cars when you have the confidence to push so much harder on twisty roads

"The best thing a car can be performance wise is predictable." Wow, this perfectly sums up the feeling Im looking for in a reliable vehicle. Very well spoken

I love these cars. The color of the one you reviewed is very cool as well

Just got this car in 5sp manual last week. Drove a 2017 accord with a touch screen infotainment system and each button took 3 seconds to do its assigned task. Give me a dumb dashboard any day.

No mute button? Hit Aux or CD if you are listening to one or the other.

I still own my 2012 Fit Sport 5 speed manual I bought new at the start of 2013. It's a great fun to drive commuter car. It's a riot in the corners and off/on ramps. And with the manual transmission. it feels way more spritely especially taking off as you row the gears compared to the sluggish automatic. The Fit is the perfect example of why it's more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow as a daily driver!Plus like you mentioned, the HVAC is perfect in simplicity and usability. I hate how 99% of vehicle HVAC controls are needlessly complicated, with "luxury" models and trims being the worst offenders.

I have the same car but mine is black, love mine just needs more Power!!! You didn’t show the rest mode with the seats, where you push the front seat forward and flat the sit in back seat and the back of the flat front seat is your leg rest now! I’ve used that on a long road trip to get some rest and while someone else was driving also kinda a cool deal. Thanks for the video 👍🏿

Great video!! I have a 2012 Honda Fit as well (basic). My daughter gave it to me when she paid it off. I've always wanted one and I love mine. It has so many versatility. I can even sleep in the back. I'm 4'11" LOL! =D

I’m glad that we’re both huge fans of Honda fits.

Also the tail of the dragon is recommended with a manual transmission so you use your brakes less

Sold my 8th gen si (it was beaten to the ground by previous owner) and bought this east same car and same color. No joke probably my favorite car (I’m the type that’ll get bored of a car and sell it after a year or so. The fit is my fifth car since I started driving at 20) and I love it so much. Bought it salvaged at 112k miles and after a year I’ve driven it every day. Gone on road trips and the only problem I’ve had was my battery drying. Love the looks on furniture stores faces when I buy a big item and pull up with the fit and later get shocked it FITs. I’m at 136k now but I am seriously gonna drive this car till it dies or just craps out on me. It’s my daily! Just wish mines was manual lol

Let me tell you own both a 2011 auto and my wife's 2012 manual. Both sport models. I'm also a member of the CRX community. I have an 89 CRX SI with a B16A1 swap. My CRX group meets every fall to run the dragon. I was having ECU issues with my CRX and was forced to take my manual FIT. I was completely amazed by the rigidity and handling of the FIT! Power was an issue but, as you know, the dragon is tight and not very fast due to traffic volume. I loved the look of the FIT from the start and bought a couple knowing of the lack of "get up and go", but it sure hit all the other notes for me.
