he was in Quebec asking questions in French the community he was in was more english then french, they learned the language at school and yet they are complaining that our PM is speaking even though they are in a French province, where they are taught the language and yet they still complain unbelievable

Bilingualism is defo the coolest thing to master, believe me speaking both French and English really lowers the language barrier around the world

It's funny 'cause here in Belgium, we have also 2 languages and whatever wich one you use, it's okay. I think English canadians should learn french instead of crying.

why are anglophones always so opposed to learning a second language? like honestly, there are more difficult things to learn in the world than a language, I promise. Québec's SOLE official language is FRENCH. Official services are ONLY REQUIRED to speak french unlike EVERYWHERE ELSE IN THE COUNTRY. If you can't speak the official language, why the hell would you move somewhere, regardless of where it is you're moving.

As a fan of Trudeau's and a bilingual person myself, even I thought that this was a misstep... the nature of the ladies question didn't warrant a response in a different language than the one in which she asked . If anything he should have answered in English and then repeated himself in French

I find it so funny that us Canadians have such little problems that we make news out of this kinda stuff when the US is going crazy over every step Trump makes, They got way bigger stuff going on and we got people getting a little upset cause he didn't do some french stuff. I think it's important that people try to learn other languages, especially when you live in a country which has got more than one official language like Canada or Switzerland, for example. I'm able to speak three different languages and the English is not even my first one. I can say that when I started to learn English and Spanish my life turned out to be easier and now I'm pretty much able to live and communicate in all of them ! Now I want to learn the fourth one, perhaps I could choose French or Italian.

Not only 15 percent of population speaks french and english and when you force politicians to be bilingual. You get very small demographic running country
