I acquired one recently at an auction, a 2007 VX-1. It is not working right now. It seems that the battery bank was upgraded in 2012 to Lithium-Ion (sold by Vectrix itself). The power cord is inside the seat compartment is missing (apparently was cut off), instead there is a large industrial charger: an Elcon 1500 along with a small circuit board (MiniBMS). I measured the power coming from the elcon 1500 once it is connected to a power outlet and it does not show any power on a multimeter. Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting this project. About how much would the parts cost? Also where can I get a LiON battery pack for a lower price than OEM? Or may be use the luggage space for adding a parallel bank? I am not very technical, but can understand the basics.

Congratulations on a very cool salvage and rebuild.  I was interested in building the adapter box you have in this video, do you have any instructions and a materials list somewhere?  Thanks in advance for any info.
