I bought one of these because I wanted something a little bigger than my Kumo 36. This one is a 42L but I must say it is way bigger than the Kumo....not sure whats up with Gossamers measurements but I can get as much in this as I can my Crown 2 65 l and it also has more capacity than my HMG Southwest 2400 which is actually a 50L pack. It never really took the place of the Kumo cause it absolutely swallows my ultralight kit but I have found it to be excellent for my winter kit. It is a beautifully designed quality pack. One upgrade that has really made it better is I purchased GGs airlight pad for the back a much stiffer and breathable version of the foam sit the pack more structure and much more comfortable and less sweat.

looking at possibly getting this pack but the only thing that worries me is the lack of load lifter straps on the shoulders. any thoughts?
