Dan as you have matured in the past few years your quality of videos has become also really good. This particular guide was really informative especially on your bike. I’m really impressed with you. Keep, up the great work, it’s most appreciated. By the way I moved back to Montreal 6 months ago after 33 years in Vancouver so, I can relate to much of what you say.😊 and the whole point of you having this youtube outlet is to document life speaking English in a predominantly French place. So, sir I salute you.

0:48 I totally agree with that list, especially #6 in winter 🥶😎 Last summer I climbed the Mont Royal at 5 am (to see the sunrise at 5:30). It was magic! ✨🌄

One of your best videos. I have shared with many people. I’m amazed at how well you got to know the city in such a short time. Great job!

I've lived near the canal Lachine for the last 3 years and still haven't gotten over how nice it is.

I would do research on that old restaurant you first went in. I believe it may have been in the movie. "The apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz ".

I wouldn't call that a lake in Parc LA Fontane, I would say a pond. Lol

In 1968 the engineering students from McGill University, mathematically figured out the light system on the cross on Mount Royal. So when it lit up at night the lights would show a ? Mark instead of the cross.

Mount Royal and Central Park NYC are the same landscape designer. .

Mount Royal has an even more country feeling in the middle of the city than Stanley Park or central park.

Always enjoy your videos on Montreal. I am in Montreal now for a holiday! My second visit after last year, which was supposed to be just one trip. Visited Jean Talon today and walked all morning through Mile End, Plateau etc! Looking forward to discovering new areas of Montreal in coming days!!

I have been living in Toronto for 35 years, one of those years I lived in Montreal because of a lady .. Nothing compares to Montreal specially during the summer.

19:24-19:33 Riding by the Lachine Canal was always a favourite activity of mine to do as a local, and it offers some of the nicest views of the city imo. I just remember a few years back at this timestamp there didn't use to be condos there and you would have some of the best, close-up unobstructed views of downtown from there. It makes me a bit sad that that view is gone now (and there's a lot more people in the area now too when it used to feel more like a hidden gem of the city), but it's still a great route that I enjoy :)

Beautiful. Really enjoyed this video! We arrive in Montreal tomorrow evening. Michiganders here. Thank you for the recommendations. My husband has a foot that is a pain in the butt. I think bicycle riding is a perfect idea. Thank you!
