I think ppl dont realize that subaru likes rem as much as he does emilia
Here's 2 things the anime skipped in season 1

1-Rem says she's ok with being a 2nd wife and Subaru said he would have rem as his wife if emilia allows polygamy( having more than one wife)
2- Rem faked that she was weak and dying after the giant tree fell, which made subaru confess that he loves her and says "isn't it obvious?"
he said he would die without her, and that rem is his and he wouldn't let her go to anyone else's side which she says "proposal accepted!"


This was supposed to be in season 1 but they didn't add it

After watching season 2, I honestly felt that Subaru nave have misinterpreted REM’s confession. I felt that REM was trying to get Subaru to understand the reasons why she loves Subaru so much and hopefully he can see himself as the amazing person that she sees. Subaru took the hero part of her speech and ran with it, all while ignoring all the other qualities that Rem loves about him. Subaru felt that his life would only have value to the people he loves, only if he is seen as a hero to them. It’s unfortunate that it took Satella and the witch’s trial for him to finally understand that he should love himself and find value in his own life.

U know its crazy in all these moments u will realize just how important rem is to subaru and all the things she dir to h3lp jim wh3n emilia abonded him and the rest off teh rosswall mansion who was by his side when no one else was rem was emila wasnt able to accept subaru fully for his shortcomings in fact she left him out her life for a big schunck of the series i just know rem is the one for him ITS CRAZY HOW EVERONE FORGOT SHE WAS A PERSON TOO😭
