Boston hospital will not give man heart transplant over his refusal to get COVID-19 vaccine

The man's parents say their son is in desperate need of a heart transplant, but his COVID-19 vaccination status stands in the way.

I agree with the guy. His body his choice. He will not die for what he believes unfortunately because this story is gaining traction and the hospital will probably give in and go against their practice just to keep reporters away.

My father stood for a heart transplant in 1985 when diagnosed with 17% of his EF when diagnosed with severe CHF. He acknowledged he would not be able to comply with the requirements for taking his transplant meds and transplant follow-up, and had himself taken off the transplant list. He died in 2000 living far longer than ever thought possible (usual <5 years). I am medical personnel. would have preferred ha had the transplant, but his inability to follow the protocols, and follow up, but the heart he would have gotten at risk. While he lived much longer than ever expected thankfully, there were no promises. He also would have taken that heart from another who did follow the te protocols putting themselves at the highest optimal possibility for the best outcome. these decisions that drive these protocols are made on studies and statistics, not emotions and politics. If they require vaccinations, it is because they find those with them survive at greater rate than those than those than do not have them.

I never thought to see the day to hear denial of life saving patient care and Brigham Hospital in the same sentence. This is despicable and so glad it made the news. It makes us aware what the "committed to patient care" hospital is up to this days.

I used to wonder how was it that the people of Germany gave up their rights, allowed hate and murder of millions of innocent people, and just happily complied.... and now I'm living through it in Boston. I don't recognize my city anymore. Never thought I'd see the day where people defend a multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical over the life of an individual person. Lord help us! I hope that those responsible for this will go to jail for crimes against humanity.
