As it turns out the age difference between Snow White is much shorter than everyone thinks. He's only older by a couple of years but, everyone thinks he's 31 because that was the first time they tried more realistic proportions in human characters and design wise the prince was the youngest they could manage. Animators of the time admitted that male characters were way harder to design and animate than female ones.
