Butter and rosemary an absolute must for all my good steaks. Get a good sear by patting dry your steak before searing.

Is it possible to get the same result with just the pan and no oven step? Would be great to see a quick demo.

Uncle Don's kitchen... The video caught my eye, and the carbon steel pan... I was hoping was going to be a de Buyer... I love the pan I got but I would like to get the Pro version so I can put it in the oven safely. Excellent demonstration to create a nice steak. you know what I did not recognize your voice in this video... Don't worry just a comment :-)

I follow similar process but pre salted steak retains more moisture, I think.

no seed oils for me and only fresh organic rosemary and grass fed butter

It's all good but you should be flipping a couple more times per side, will develop a better and uniform crust (you can see spots without the crust in this one!)

If I cook a steak like this, using those times, I'll have a well done steak. Medium high and three minutes on each side, no oven required.
