Is tutoring worth it?

Is tutoring or teaching worth it if not all students are able to pass the end of semester exams. We always look at the side where students are falling short ignoring the blind spot, "there is no perfect teacher". Teachers are individuals who are finding ways and means to make knowledge appealing their students. Students are mostly novices and an expert (tutor) sometimes find it hard to think like a novice.
