Brawlhalla is a free-to-play 2D platformer fighting game developed by Blue Mammoth Games and Ubisoft for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Steam, iOS, and Android, with full cross-play across all platforms. It also has some of the most satisfying combo mechanics of any fighting game I've played, because doing successful low damage to kill combos is extremely hard. You have to either 100% know where your opponent is going or just make up some wacky play and hope for the best. It makes the kills all the more exciting. Brawlhalla has reached 1 million in esports prize pools this year and over 50 million online players in total.

Haven't spent a single penny on this game and now have every character unlocked by just playing ranked for hours . And I just get skins and taunts from watching E sports streams .

The one thing I will say is that I do think spending money on the skins is still worth it, because the brawlhalla skins are genuinely amazing. I've seen a few games use real money to buy cosmetics, and it's kinda obvious that the only reason for it is to make extra money (as the cosmetics are usually very low effort), but the brawlhalla ones actually have time and effort put in. Yeah, you could get skins for free, but I'm not going to lose sleep if Dark of Night Lucien becomes free tomorrow because I would rather my money go to the devs for the work they put into creating that skin.

That is something that scares me, buying a regular skin so that everyone can get it for free later, something to mention is that another type of skin can be event ones, such as Christmas or Halloween since those if it is very unlikely that they give away free, they have the same price as a regular skin

I've bought alot of skins with the collectors pack cause I love this game, and especially cause I wanted to get the exclusive event skins. I have 500 coins left now and I'm waiting for valentines event skins

I just buy the battle passes because the skins are usually really nice and the added """quests""" make the game more fun. The fact that some of the things like evolving skins and podiums are still completable after the battle pass is also really nice

This analogy is flawed simply cause people aren't gonna wait for 2 years for their skin to come out for free. I spend money on a skin now, cause I play that legend now. It doesn't bother me that my skin worth 5$ is now free after I've had it for years. 5$ is borderline nothing and I've gotten the satisfaction from the skin I've bought

the skins are only like 5 dollars and waiting until one of your main gets a battlepass/viewer rewards skin, let alone a good one will take a long time

I don't see why anyone would be scared of any skins going free because of esports. I'm just happy my friends and my opponents have the same skins I love, I love using skins and I love the game. Keep up the great content man this is really high quality stuff
