Gravity is such a strange thing. You know. For days and days I spend my time in a state of weightlessness, floating through as if I'm no heavier than a feather. But as soon as I begin to grow near the earth, gravity starts to take hold. The feeling disappears and my body feels heavy like I'm trapped under an invisible blanket. Not to say that my visits to earth are the only time I experience gravity. Jupiter is a much heavier blanket. But the feeling that seems to tie me to earth are different. Whether it be gravity, or perhaps a force even greater. It could be the scenery, or perhaps the wildlife that inhabits it. But every planet seems to have it's grand views or fantastic beasts. What they don't have is the people. Maybe it's the people that keep me coming back. Leaving my endless black void to enter into their weighted blanket. I don't think I will ever understand. What would drive me to abandon the moon kissed skies, and comet dust filled plains of space. Foolishness, a lack of understanding of the freedom granted to me, a desire to be a part of something great. But then again what's greater than space? Some would argue many things, a feeling, a person, a singular moment in time that can not and will not be replicated. While small at first it seems to grow and expand overtime. Like the universe. Many things. Feelings are like gravity. Emotions that hold me to you, and you to him, and him to her. In a way I guess we are each our own planets, with our own gravity's hold other people to us. Some with feelings and pulls great or less, much like the different planets in our solar system. But nonetheless each holding us together. So we don't have to live in the empty void of space, at least not all the time. Hmmm. Gravity is a strange thing.
