RIO's award winning (Best new Fly line for 2016 - EFTTEX 2015) InTouch Single Handed Spey line has been designed to be a fantastic tool for anglers that prefer/need to perform roll and single-handed Spey casts. The rear weight distribution loads a rod deeply in the tightest of quarters, allowing anglers to make long, effortless casts with obstacles close behind.

Though primarily designed for roll casting, this line also performs exceptionally easy overhead casts with incredibly smooth loop control. Built on RIO’s ultra-low stretch ConnectCore the line provides groundbreaking levels of sensitivity and performance.

The line is available in WF4F to WF8F

Do you have to put a tip on like an actual Spey line or do you put a leader directly to the end of the line?

I noticed George Cook saying that this line is a two line size bump compared to normal fly lines. However, on your rioproducts.com, the head of a #7 line is rated at only 260 grains. Is this correct?

I’ve been using this line in 6 wt on my Redington Hydrogen 3 wt. Love fishing with it particularly dry flies and soft hackles but I have struggled a little bit to throw tight loops compared to casting with shooting heads. Any casting tips for casting this longer head lighter grain line?

Guys a little advice please if you would. I’m in the market for a new line, in particular a heavier headed line for a little further distance when fishing larger reservoirs and certain areas where roll casting is a necessity. I just want one line that has the characteristics of a shooting head but emphasise one line, I don’t particularly want to go down the Scandi route just yet. At present my reel has braided backing and I’m using a 6wt fast action rod. What would you recommend? Is this line suitable or would I need to add or replace my current backing for say a full mono running line. I’m fishing predominantly Stillwater, trout and fly choices vary. Ideally the line would be a floating line as I usually split shot and tungsten my leaders to suit fly choices & depth of fishing.
